Buffavento Restaurant

Life in Kyrenia, North CYprusFor an amazing dining experience you definitely need to visit Buffavento. We have only discovered this restaurant yesterday and were quite amazed with the place! Magical ambiance is complimented with great food. Buffavento is specializing in meat dishes, prepared in traditional Cypriot style. We have tried lamb kleftiko and lamb chops, both of which were really good. But what really impressed us, is their artisan giant bread and halloumi pitta bread. The big bread is served along with your food but the halloumi bread needs to be ordered separately, make sure to try it. Also I suggest making a reservation if you want to get the best tables, next to the cliff.

Paragliding in Kyrenia, North Cyprus

How would you like to jump of 2500 ft? Well the truth is I wouldn’t! But my husband has booked me in for one of these jumps!!! To be honest up to the very end I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it. I thought that somehow I’ll talk my way out of this crazy adventure, but the thing is he has done it the day before, loved it, and booked me in for the following day and was persistent to make me jump ;) He said I had to experience it at least once in a life time. Luckily I wasn’t the only one to jump that day, our friends who were on holiday in Kyrenia have joined me (one of them being a mother of three, I thought that was really brave!).

Para-gliders take of from a hill which is next to the St. Hilarion Castle, from a height of 2500 ft, that’s 762 meters.

Paragliding in Kyrenia, North Cyprus See how high we are!!!!! The scariest part was to actually run and jump of that cliff into nowhere! Everyone jumps with their own instructor so the instructor kind of pushes you off the cliff ;) otherwise of course no one would be able to do it.

5 star Hotel rocks in Kyrenia, North Cyprus One more 5 star hotel in Kyrenia is Rocks Hotel and Casino. I personally never stayed there but my friends have and they said that the rooms are great and the Spa is really nice. It’s not located on a sandy beach but they have done a nice little pierce with a swimming pool and beach entrance right across the road. A very convenient hotel for those who want to be in the city center with shops and restaurants surrounding the hotel.

YAMAHA Music School in Kyrenia

YAMAHA Music School in Kyrenia is based in the English School of Kyrenia. It is an internationally acclaimed institution, with schools based in more than 40 countries so I’m happy that my son has the chance to attend it. The lessons are held once per week, only ten children per classroom. It costs 80 Eur per month plus 20 Eur for each book, there are four books which you must buy.
